How Much Does SurePayroll Payroll Service Cost?

Every role in your organization needs to be filled by someone with the skills and capabilities to do the job right. However, nothing quite matches payroll for the far-reaching consequences of failing to meet expectations. Employees may receive incorrect pay or even no pay. Timeliness may also be an issue. The employer may also suffer, particularly as regards paying and filing payroll taxes, but also in compliance with state and federal labor laws. Errors with payroll often lead to penalties and fines. As protection against these issues, many organizations choose a service such as SurePayroll as a way to ensure accurate, reliable payroll management.

SurePayroll is an online service designed specifically for smaller businesses, which often lack the resources to employ a full-time payroll expert. They offer contract-free service, an interactive dashboard, and recordkeeping that integrates with most common management software systems.

Features and Benefits of SurePayroll Service

SurePayroll is a cloud-based software solution ideal for businesses employing fewer than 10 people, as well as accounting organizations that provide payroll services to their clients. The application is available via any connected device, allowing employers to manage payroll on the go, and employees to access their information. Add-on features include 401(k) services, health insurance, and workers' compensation insurance.

The package includes a user-friendly dashboard that allows you to quickly access your payroll data. Report options include:

  • Payroll summary
  • Cash requirements
  • Date range payroll totals
  • Quarter-to-date payroll totals
  • Year-to-date payroll totals

The service's after-the-fact processing option allows you to enter a single check, even outside the standard pay period.

SurePayroll completes payroll tax calculations, filing, and remittance in all 50 states. In addition, it processes tax reports quarterly and yearly. The program integrates with Account Edge, QuickBooks, XERO, Sage 50, Intacct, and Less Accounting. It also integrates with a variety of time and attendance systems, including Inception, Trinity, and Web Time Clock.

Another standard feature is HRAdvisor. This resource includes a variety of tools designed to help companies remain compliant with state and federal labor laws, but it also provides employers how-to guides and a variety of HR and payroll-related forms. In addition to online resources, live customer support is available via chat, telephone, and email.

How Much Does SurePayroll Cost?

Prices vary according to the number of employees you have and how often you pay them. The monthly fee is $49.99 per month. Per-employee charges vary according to whether you pay your people weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. If you pay your employees more than once a month, you pay $5 per employee. If you pay them monthly, the rate is $4 per employee.

Since there are no contracts, if there are months when you do not use the service, you don't have to pay.

Additional Costs

Your options to pay employees are live check and direct deposit. If you choose live check and print the checks yourself, there is no extra charge. If you prefer to have SurePayroll print and mail checks, there is an extra fee each pay cycle (this varies according to your particular circumstances). SurePayroll does not offer prepaid cards in lieu of checks or direct deposit.

SurePayroll will also handle end-of-year W-2 processing for an additional fee of $45, plus $4 per employee.

Additional Benefits for Accounting Firms

If your accounting firm manages payroll for clients, SurePayroll offers a "partner" dashboard that allows you to create a branded portal for your clients. There, your customers access time entry and edit or add personnel information. The level of access you offer your clients is up to you. The system will also notify your clients via email when their payroll processes, so they can access their pay stubs and W-2 forms.

SurePayroll offers a partner dashboard for accounting firms to access all of their client payroll accounts. In turn, firms can provide a branded portal for their clients, where they can access time entry functions as well as the ability to add or edit any personal information entered in the product. Firms can determine the level of access provided to each client.  As an additional benefit, client employees are notified via email when a payroll has been processed, so they can access any related pay stubs and year-end W-2s.

As far as customer support, you get online resources, such as white papers and trainings, as well as live support via email, chat, and phone. If your firm has more than five clients, SurePayroll provides a dedicated contact to answer all of your clients' payroll and tax questions.
